Graveyard - Time Ran Out ( 2021)

Well, this album starts viciously hacking away at your ears with the gang shouts and hammering riffs, as the songs start picking up the speed and aggression for a while, the demented riffs repeats and kick you in the fkn nuts. This is it ladies and germs a really interesting band called Graveyard from New York. If you've probably never heard this band, now it's the time to do it. You need this album just to listen to the innovative approach. You are seriously missing out if you haven't heard this gem already. I'm not usually one for picking apart individual tracks, but every song on this album is distinct and has its own thing to offer. This is quite complex music, not especially easy to get into, indeed it took me a while...but when it clicked, it happened in a big way. It has slowly worked its way into my subconscious and become a good album in my collection. I fully recommend this Disturbing Political Death Noise !!

Thrashback Records Compilation CD (2022)

This is a death/thrash metal compilation album that contains songs that are having an impact in the world of underground metal. The world must not forget the true metalheads that support these bands, this isn't about the mainstream or the lastest trend. With all that said, the album itself should not be looked at as a joke but looked at as an honest collection of extreme metal which is what it truly is. So this album gets a thumbs up. Some of my favorite songs here are Serial Thrasher by The Donner Party, Perpetual Perdition by Schizophrenia, and Sounds of War by Shades Of Grey. So get this album and crank it up!!

Damnability - Liability To Damnation: demos '88-90' ( 2022)

This is an obscure old school thrash Metal band. I like the vocals, the tone of the instruments, the tracklist, everything really. Hell, even the Artwork here is kick ass, the songs here are remarkably consistent at the very least. Riffs are everywhere, it makes for a very literally "thrashy" and punchy listening experience, and this is evident in all the tunes. It's intense, unrelenting, and has enough changes to keep the energy up for the entire compilation. This band is fast, heavy and even though it can have a chaotic feel at time, never sounds as if it's out of control and will keep you headbanging throughout. Comparing Damnability to early Exodus wouldn't be far from the truth. Even by today's standards this band is fairly unique, total fucking headbanging mayhem. You like Pleasure to Kill? Show No Mercy? Bonded by Blood? You will dig the living fuck out of this one.

Lurch Killz - Requiem: the Demo Anthology (2022)

Ripping thrash guitar work, that's the main thing  consistent throughout this Demo Anthology CD. Then comes one of the highlights of the disc, the track 'Time To Die' from their Lashing Out 1989 demo. There is some kick ass solos through the entire compilation disc, proving that these guys were incredibly talented. This CD is quite solid, in fact another of my favorite songs  "Mechanized Warfare" is quite explosive and catchy as hell too. There's much to love, much to headbang over, and it still holds up as heavy even to this date. If you like classic Thrash, this is an album you must check out!!

Electrocutioner - False Idols (demo 2022)

It doesn't matter what style of music you're talking about, nothing beats a good tune. Electrocutioner are damn fast and should certainly be considered extreme. Electrocutioner are from Long Island - NY, operating as a trio, possessed one of the thickest sounds influenced by mid 80's thrash. These guys know how to use catchy choruses and hooks to their benefit without ever sounding remotely generic. Vocalist and guitarist has one of the most badass vocal deliveries, very punked out and delivered with tons of attitude, his raspy, spitfire style is really cool. The musicianship on "False Idols" is also superb. This demo is easily intense enough to get almost any thrasher's blood flowing! It's just such a well thought-out demo and each song is highly memorable to the point where the tunes will get stuck in your head. I couldn't imagine anyone who is a thrash fanatic not having this demo tape in their collection. Simply put: it's a must have!!

Skullovich - Under A Spell

This 2 track single will be released on January 13th, and surely their music worth more than a simple mention. The fury on these new tracks is a bit more technical and mature if we want, without losing the original impact and pureness savagery. The apocalyptic touch never fades away as we go on in intensity, the production is simple and direct, conserving the pureness for this great genre. The vocals got that angry and raspy tonality. They are a sort of way between Mille and Schmier ( if you know what i'm talking about), these two tunes have a truly schizophrenic and almost death/thrash beginning with few stops. The solos are intense as the music is, with lots of uncompromised shreds and fast notes, the violence is something unbelievable here and the structures are also able to be catchy! I mean, the riffs have the facility to be always remembered even if the songs are so brutal. The frantic power of this band seems to know no limits and they like to massacre our ears.

This is intensity, this is attitude and this is pure THRASH!!

Skullovich - Demo II ( 2022)

Wild heavy riffs, combustible tempos, structural shifting and a demented voice from the three tracks on this kick ass demo. For me, the one weak spot here is that the demo should have more tunes. The raw sound featured on this demo was exactly the kind of quality I was looking for, and noticed that these young fellas follow their 80s influences and they do a good job at delivering this sort of unpolished thrash sound, especially nowadays. The lyrical content featured on this gem is varied with themes of fantasy, death, violence and evil stuff, they managed to create the feeling of catchiness on their songs. I recommend this band and specially this demo to every fans of thrash metal obviously, but it will surely appeal to the people who are more into the old school stuff of the 80s, it makes you want to thrash and bang your head until death.

Favorite tracks : all of them
